My younger brother was getting married before me and everything felt weird.
But he was slipping away from the family, everyone knew it. He had dirty habits and fled home for days at a time. He was needed here; he was a valuable gypsy. The only way to keep a gypsy man gripped tight to the family, was to marry him off. Specifically to the Veode’s daughter, who just so happened to be my best friend.
Yeah, everything was weird.
